2Who we areআমরা কারা

EasyVat is a browser extension for Chrome and Microsoft Edge that helps VAT practitioners in Bangladesh file Zero VAT returns on vat.gov.bd. This policy explains what information the extension and its account service handle, why, and what choices you have. In this policy "we" and "us" mean the EasyVat developer.

EasyVat হলো Chrome ও Microsoft Edge এর একটি ব্রাউজার এক্সটেনশন, যা বাংলাদেশের ভ্যাট প্র্যাকটিশনারদের vat.gov.bd এ শূন্য ভ্যাট রিটার্ন দাখিলে সহায়তা করে। এই নীতিতে বলা হয়েছে এক্সটেনশন ও এর অ্যাকাউন্ট সার্ভিস কোন তথ্য কেন ব্যবহার করে এবং আপনার কী কী এখতিয়ার আছে। এখানে “আমরা” বলতে EasyVat এর ডেভেলপারকে বোঝানো হয়েছে।

Account information

অ্যাকাউন্ট তথ্য

• Your full name, WhatsApp number, and (optionally) email address and business name, which you give when you create an account or edit your profile.
• A key derived from your password in your browser. It lets us check that it is really you; it is not your password and cannot be turned back into it.
• The time you accepted these terms and this policy.

Service and security information

• Sign-up time, last sign-in time, number of sign-ins, and a simple device label such as "Chrome / Windows".
• Your account status (active, pending, blocked, expired), plan and expiry date, which we set; and counters used to stop password guessing.

Encrypted backup

এনক্রিপ্টেড ব্যাকআপ

To let your data follow you to another browser, the extension uploads a backup of your saved Apps Script links, run history and settings. It is encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM) before upload. If, and only if, you switch on "Back up saved account files", your saved account files (which contain VAT portal passwords) are included, encrypted the same way. We store only the unreadable ciphertext.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your number and whatever you send. The "Contact support" button pre-fills your name, number, account status, extension version and browser so we can help faster; you can edit the message before sending.

4Information kept only on your deviceযে তথ্য শুধু আপনার ডিভাইসে থাকে

These stay in your browser's extension storage and are not sent to us:

এগুলো আপনার ব্রাউজারের এক্সটেনশন স্টোরেজেই থাকে এবং আমাদের কাছে পাঠানো হয় না:

• Imported and saved account lists, including the VAT portal mobile numbers and passwords inside them (unless you turn on the encrypted file backup).
• Automation progress and checkpoints, so a run can be resumed.
• Your sign-in session and the encryption key for your backup.
• Settings such as language, theme and notifications.

Signing out wipes this local data from that browser so the next person cannot see it. Signing in again restores what was backed up.

সাইন আউট করলে ওই ব্রাউজার থেকে এই স্থানীয় ডেটা মুছে যায়, যাতে পরের জন কিছু দেখতে না পারে। আবার সাইন ইন করলে ব্যাকআপ করা ডেটা ফিরে আসে।

• Your EasyVat password.
• Readable copies of your VAT portal passwords.
• The contents of vat.gov.bd pages, returns or receipts.
• Your browsing history, other websites you visit, or analytics and advertising data.

• To create, activate and secure your account and to sign you in.
• To apply your plan, expiry, activation or block status.
• To keep your saved links, history and settings in sync across your browsers.
• To contact you on WhatsApp about activation, problems and support.
• To prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations.

7How the extension connects to other servicesএক্সটেনশন যেসব সেবার সাথে সংযুক্ত হয়

• vat.gov.bd: the extension runs only on this site, to log in and file returns on your behalf with the details you provide.
• Your own Google Apps Script: if you use the Google Sheet mode, the extension talks to the script you deployed. That sheet and script are yours and under your control, not ours.
• EasyVat account service: a Google Apps Script and Google Sheet that we operate to store account records and encrypted backups.

8Browser permissions explainedব্রাউজার পারমিশন ব্যাখ্যা

• Access to vat.gov.bd: to read and operate the portal pages the extension is built for.
• Access to script.google.com and script.googleusercontent.com: to reach your Apps Script and our account service.
• storage: to save settings, progress and your session on your device.
• scripting: to re-attach the page helper after the portal navigates.
• alarms: to keep a run alive, re-check your account status and schedule backups.
• notifications: to tell you when a CAPTCHA needs you, a run stops or finishes.

• notifications: ক্যাপচা সমাধান লাগলে, রান থামলে বা শেষ হলে জানানো।

9Encryption and securityএনক্রিপশন ও নিরাপত্তা

• Your password is turned into two separate keys in your browser using PBKDF2-SHA-256 with 150,000 iterations. One authenticates you; the other encrypts your backup with AES-256-GCM.
• All communication uses HTTPS. Sign-in sessions use signed tokens that expire after 30 days and stop working after a password change.
• Repeated wrong passwords temporarily lock sign-in.
• Because the backup is encrypted with a key from your password, we cannot recover it if you forget the password. A password reset therefore removes the old backup.

• আপনার পাসওয়ার্ড থেকে ব্রাউজারেই PBKDF2-SHA-256 (১,৫০,০০০ ধাপ) দিয়ে দুটি আলাদা কী তৈরি হয়। একটি আপনাকে যাচাই করে; অন্যটি AES-256-GCM দিয়ে ব্যাকআপ এনক্রিপ্ট করে।
• সব যোগাযোগ HTTPS এ হয়। সাইন-ইন সেশনে স্বাক্ষরিত টোকেন ব্যবহার হয়, যা ৩০ দিনে মেয়াদ হারায় এবং পাসওয়ার্ড বদলালে অচল হয়ে যায়।
• বারবার ভুল পাসওয়ার্ড দিলে সাইন-ইন সাময়িক বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।
• ব্যাকআপ আপনার পাসওয়ার্ডের কী দিয়ে এনক্রিপ্ট করা, তাই পাসওয়ার্ড ভুলে গেলে আমরা তা উদ্ধার করতে পারি না। এজন্য পাসওয়ার্ড রিসেট করলে পুরোনো ব্যাকআপ মুছে যায়।

No system is perfectly secure. Please choose a strong password and keep your computer protected.

কোনো সিস্টেমই শতভাগ নিরাপদ নয়। অনুগ্রহ করে শক্তিশালী পাসওয়ার্ড দিন এবং আপনার কম্পিউটার সুরক্ষিত রাখুন।

10Sharing and third partiesতথ্য শেয়ার ও তৃতীয় পক্ষ

• Google hosts our Apps Script and Sheet and therefore processes the account records and ciphertext on our behalf, under Google's own terms.
• WhatsApp (Meta) carries your support messages when you contact us.
• We may disclose information if the law or a valid legal request requires it, or to protect our rights and users from fraud or abuse.
• If the service is ever transferred to another operator, we will tell you first and the same protections will continue to apply.

• কখনো সার্ভিস অন্য কোনো পরিচালকের কাছে হস্তান্তর হলে আমরা আগে জানাব এবং একই সুরক্ষা বজায় থাকবে।

11How long we keep data and how to delete itকতদিন তথ্য রাখি ও কীভাবে মুছবেন

• Account records and backups are kept while your account exists.
• Delete account & cloud data (Account screen in the extension) removes your account record and encrypted backup. You can also ask us on WhatsApp.
• Google Sheets may keep earlier versions of a file in its version history for a limited time; we remove them when we can.
• Local data on your device is removed when you sign out, clear it in Settings, or uninstall the extension.

• আপনার অ্যাকাউন্ট থাকা পর্যন্ত অ্যাকাউন্ট রেকর্ড ও ব্যাকআপ রাখা হয়।
• এক্সটেনশনের অ্যাকাউন্ট স্ক্রিনের অ্যাকাউন্ট ও ক্লাউড ডেটা মুছুন চাপলে আপনার অ্যাকাউন্ট রেকর্ড ও এনক্রিপ্টেড ব্যাকআপ মুছে যায়। হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে অনুরোধ করেও মোছাতে পারেন।
• গুগল শিট তার ভার্সন হিস্ট্রিতে ফাইলের আগের সংস্করণ সীমিত সময় রাখতে পারে; সম্ভব হলে আমরা সেগুলোও মুছে ফেলি।
• সাইন আউট করলে, সেটিংসে মুছলে বা এক্সটেনশন আনইনস্টল করলে আপনার ডিভাইসের স্থানীয় ডেটা মুছে যায়।

12Your choices and rightsআপনার পছন্দ ও অধিকার

• See and correct your name, business and email in the extension (Account → edit).
• Download your run history and your account lists as CSV, TXT or JSON.
• Turn the encrypted file backup and notifications on or off in Settings.
• Ask us on WhatsApp for a copy of the account record we hold about you, or for deletion.
• Withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account.

• এক্সটেনশনে (অ্যাকাউন্ট → এডিট) আপনার নাম, ব্যবসা ও ইমেইল দেখুন ও সংশোধন করুন।

13Childrenশিশু

EasyVat is for business users aged 18 or older and is not directed at children.

14Where data is storedতথ্য কোথায় থাকে

Google's servers may be located outside Bangladesh, so account records and ciphertext may be processed in other countries.

গুগলের সার্ভার বাংলাদেশের বাইরে থাকতে পারে, তাই অ্যাকাউন্ট রেকর্ড ও সাইফারটেক্সট অন্য দেশেও প্রক্রিয়া হতে পারে।

15Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons policiesChrome Web Store ও Edge Add-ons নীতি

The use of information received from Google or Microsoft browser APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons policies, including the Limited Use requirements. We use extension data only to provide and improve the single purpose described above.

ব্রাউজার API থেকে পাওয়া তথ্যের ব্যবহার Chrome Web Store User Data Policy ও Microsoft Edge Add-ons নীতি (সীমিত ব্যবহারের শর্তসহ) মেনে চলবে। আমরা এক্সটেনশনের ডেটা কেবল উপরে বর্ণিত একক উদ্দেশ্য সম্পাদন ও উন্নয়নে ব্যবহার করি।

16Changes to this policyএই নীতির পরিবর্তন

If we change this policy we will update the date and version at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the extension or on WhatsApp before it applies.

আমরা এই নীতি বদলালে উপরের তারিখ ও ভার্সন হালনাগাদ করব। বড় পরিবর্তন হলে কার্যকর হওয়ার আগে এক্সটেনশনে বা হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে জানাব।
